Here is a very nice clock that you do not see for sale very often. Clocks like this usually pass from one collector to another and rarely come on the open market. As far as I can tell everything is original. All of the serial numbers match. These clocks were made in Austria for the Kroeber Clock Co. and as such the movements, mounting brackets and pendulum were all serial numbered. The serial number is very low too, only 6280. The 8-day, time only, one weight movement is running perfectly. In January 2005 one of these sold at Horton's Antique Clocks for $2925.00. I have a very low reserve on this one. This would be a great bedroom clock, it will tick you to sleep. The ebony case is in very good condition for it's age showing only minor (normal) wear. Two of the four small pieces that are top and bottom center of the side glasses have been replaced. They are hardly noticeable unless you're really looking for them. There appears to be about a half inch missing from the top center piece when compared to a picture of this model in the book. These flaws are hardly noticeable and do not detract from the beauty of the clock. The two piece porcelain dial is perfect.
