C.1900, Ansonia Capitol, Walnut Cased wall regulator, 8-day spring, time and strike. Condition: The case has been attractively refinished years ago and now has a nice patina. Bottom finial has slight damage. The top center finial is not correct and the bottom outer two finials are missing. The dial is porcelain, this is the only porcelain dial capitol that I have ever seen. It has a few small hairlines which are visible in the picture. Movement is clean and running strong. Pendulum is original and without any dents. This clock only needs three finials to be near perfect. It's being offered as is for now. Eventually I'll get around to having proper finials made for it if I keep it long enough. For reference, see Tran Duy Ly's Ansonia book, 1998, page 184, fig 596. Height 53 inches.
